The Path was born from a lifelong passion for cycling that began in 1978 with a Team Murray bike and a simple dream—to go fast. That dream quickly evolved into racing at Lone Star BMX in San Antonio, Texas, laying the foundation for a journey that would span over three decades and include road and mountain bike racing across the state and beyond.

One of our founders has served in executive roles in the cycling and action sports industries since the mid-90s, bringing both industry expertise and deep-rooted passion to everything we do. Over the years, friendships, shared rides, and a strong connection to the local cycling culture sparked a new dream: to open a shop that truly represents the spirit of South Texas cycling.

That dream became reality with the opening of our first store—The Path on Mill St—right here in beautiful New Braunfels, TX, nestled in the heart of the Hill Country. It’s a place where cycling legends have trained, and where countless riders discover their own path on miles of rolling roads and scenic trails.

As proud native Texans, we’re dedicated to serving our community through more than just bikes. From coaching new riders and listening to our customers’ stories, to joining group rides and supporting local events, The Path is more than a bike shop—it’s a community hub for all who ride.
